Stahl announced the opening of its upgraded Center of Excellence for Leather Finishing and Performance Coatings in León, Mexico. The new facility features offices, application laboratories and testing spaces to support regional customers in industries such as footwear, fashion, automotive and home interiors.

The investment strengthens Stahl’s presence in Latin America and follows other recent expansions in China, India, Japan, Singapore and the United States. The larger León site enhances customer access to Stahl’s technical expertise, from multi-substrate design and application development to testing and training.

“Mexico is an important market for Stahl, with a strong base of automotive, fashion and footwear customers,” said Maarten Heijbroek, CEO of Stahl. “This is a clear example of how we are growing with purpose, to better serve our partners today and tomorrow.”

The facility is part of Stahl’s global network of more than 30 application labs, 10 Centers of Excellence and 15 manufacturing sites. The León opening included a guided tour and networking reception for customers and partners.
