Elcometer Launches Tornado Airless Pumps
Elcometer announced the launch of its Tornado Airless Pumps, developed for high-performance airless spraying in industrial and marine protective coatings applications.
The Tornado series was the result of a three-year development program that included more than 13 million pump cycles and over 3,600 hours of laboratory and field testing. The pumps were evaluated with a variety of coatings in temperatures from -3 °C to 52 °C (27 °F to 126 °F).
Two models are available: the Tornado 71 (71:1) with a maximum outlet pressure of 425 bar (6,164 psi) and the Tornado 43 (43:1) with a maximum outlet pressure of 260 bar (3,771 psi). Both are designed for thick coatings and high application speeds.
Features include stainless steel and tungsten carbide components, low pulsation operation, anti-icing technology, quick-release piston design, patent-pending two-way seat technology for switching viscosities, dual spray gun capability, and roller-bearing tires for mobility. Safety features include an accessible bleed valve for controlled purging under pressure.
