hubergroup Names New Leader to Drive Sustainability

hubergroup announced a new global strategy to accelerate sustainability across its operations, highlighted by the appointment of Silke Siebeneiker as its first head of sustainability. Siebeneiker will lead the company’s ESG initiatives with a focus on integrating environmental, social, and governance criteria throughout the business.
In March, hubergroup published its first global sustainability report, and shortly after received its first group-wide EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing the company among the top 35% of businesses assessed worldwide in the past year. These milestones follow hubergroup’s April 2025 change in ownership to MAVNU Ltd., which has pledged strong support for the company’s sustainability goals.
“Sustainability is the foundation for shaping the future of our industry,” said Siebeneiker. “By embracing a 360-degree approach, we ensure that sustainability is embedded at every level — from strategy and operations to culture and community.”
Looking ahead, hubergroup plans to align with global reporting standards, enhance its EcoVadis and CDP ratings, and expand its carbon footprint tracking systems. These steps are part of a shift from isolated initiatives to a comprehensive sustainability strategy intended to build long-term resilience and competitive advantage.
This announcement reflects how sustainability continues to shape strategic direction in the coatings and chemicals sector.
