Sun Chemical Recognized for ESG Progress

Sun Chemical announced it has earned a silver rating for sustainability from EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings. The recognition places the company in the top 15 percent of evaluated firms in its business sector.
The EcoVadis rating assessed performance across environment, sustainable procurement, ethics, and labor and human rights. Sun Chemical said the award reflects measurable progress toward its ESG goals.
“At Sun Chemical, sustainability is not just a responsibility, it is a catalyst for innovation,” said Mike Simoni, global sustainability director at Sun Chemical.
The rating supports the company’s broader roadmap, which includes carbon reduction targets, circular economy initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. Sun Chemical also follows a proprietary “5R framework” — reuse, reduce, renew, recycle and redesign — to cut its carbon footprint, conserve resources, and minimize waste.
This recognition highlights how sustainability remains a key driver of innovation and strategy across the coatings value chain.
