Huber Advanced Materials Plans Global Price Increase

Huber Advanced Materials announced a global price increase effective Jan. 1, 2026, citing U.S. tariffs on aluminum hydroxide feedstock and higher costs.
Huber Advanced Materials, a business unit of Huber Engineered Materials within J.M. Huber Corporation, will implement product line price increases as contracts allow starting Jan. 1, 2026. The adjustments vary by product.
According to the company, the increases are needed to partially offset the impact of recently implemented U.S. tariffs on imported aluminum hydroxide feedstock and continued inflationary pressures from raw materials, regulatory compliance, labor and ocean freight. In North America, the tariffs have raised the cost of imported feedstock and finished products and contributed to higher domestic costs across the supply chain.
The company said it remains committed to actively managing these challenges and minimizing customer impact where possible. Huber Advanced Materials supplies halogen-free fire retardants, smoke suppressants, thermal management solutions, specialty aluminum oxides and organic matting agents and carriers for a range of applications.
