GEW announced several changes to the senior management of its UK-based UV curing systems business. The transition marks the shift of leadership of the family-owned company to the next generation.

Rob Rae is now managing director of the global business, including GEW Inc. in the United States. He continues to lead the company’s sales, marketing and R&D functions.

Ele Neill (née Rae), HR director, becomes company secretary and global HR director. In the management restructure she now oversees all financial matters within GEW in addition to her HR role.

Both Rob and Ele have gained extensive experience during their 13 years with GEW. Rob has worked across the company’s product portfolio and introduced scientific rigor to the R&D department, leading to the development of the AeroLED and LeoLED LED curing systems. Under his leadership, sales have grown across market sectors worldwide.

Ele has experience across all operational areas of the business. Her focus on global recruitment has, in her words, helped build a strong team: “Only through our staff can long term success be realized.”

Company founders and owners Malcolm and Gillian Rae will continue as executive directors. They will maintain a strong interest in the business and provide advice and guidance as needed.

GEW designs and manufactures arc and UV LED curing systems for printing, coating and converting applications. The company is a leading manufacturer of UV systems for label and narrow web printing, with a production facility at its UK headquarters, subsidiaries in the United States and Germany, and an international distributor network. GEW also specializes in the design and installation of UV LED systems for sheetfed offset applications.
