BASF Coatings received the Green Impact Pioneer Award at the European Chamber’s 12th corporate social responsibility Awards in Nanjing, China. The ceremony recognized corporate social responsibility across the European business community in China and honored excellence in sustainability across multiple categories.

The Green Impact Pioneer Award recognizes European enterprises operating in China that demonstrate leadership in environmental sustainability by introducing solutions that deliver measurable environmental benefits. The jury selected BASF Coatings’ CathoGuard 800RE cathodic electrodeposition coating for its impact on water use, emissions, and material efficiency in automotive coatings applications. According to BASF Coatings, the technology reduces freshwater use by up to 68% per vehicle, lowers CO2 equivalent emissions by about 8% and increases material efficiency by up to 20% while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
