Interpon D Reaches New Customers in India

AkzoNobel Powder Coatings expanded into India’s consumer-driven windows and doors market, giving homeowners and fabricators greater access to its architectural Interpon D1000 and D2000 series. The company said the locally available range includes ready-to-ship supply to meet increasing demand for finishes that combine durability, sustainability and aesthetic choice.
India’s windows and doors segment continues to evolve as urbanization and real estate growth shape design expectations. According to AkzoNobel, homeowners are seeking finishes that match modern styling while withstanding conditions such as UV exposure, coastal humidity and challenging urban environments.
Interpon D1000 and D2000 are tested to meet or exceed Qualicoat and AAMA standards. The coatings are designed to deliver long-term color and texture retention, giving architects and fabricators the reliability needed to specify low-maintenance façades and fittings.
A selection of popular D1000 and D2000 finishes is now available in a ready-to-ship range to support fast-moving housing and renovation projects. For unique designs, AkzoNobel’s local color labs and technical teams can support custom developments.
Powder coatings in the Interpon range contain no VOCs and generate minimal waste, with overspray able to be collected and reused. The company said this supports green building requirements and resource-efficient finishing.
“Indian homeowners today expect windows and doors that combine reliable performance with real design freedom,” said Rao Narasimha, country sales manager, AkzoNobel India. “With our extensive Interpon D range, we’re enabling fabricators and showrooms to meet those expectations quickly and sustainably, supported by AkzoNobel’s global technology and local expertise.”
