Steelpaint Expands Regional Representation

Steelpaint has appointed ADD Marine as its representative for Greece and Cyprus, expanding its presence in two active shipping markets where vessel maintenance, drydock scheduling and long-term steel protection are central to operational planning.
Greece is home to the world’s largest commercial fleet by tonnage, while Cyprus hosts a sizeable ship management community alongside a growing repair and retrofit sector. According to the company, both markets play an important role in the deployment of marine corrosion-protection technologies.
ADD Marine works with shipowners, managers and shipyards across the region on maintenance, regulatory compliance and retrofit projects. The company provides support during drydock work, conducts vessel condition assessments and advises on the introduction of new technical solutions. Through the appointment, customers will be able to access Steelpaint’s coating systems through a local point of contact.
Frank Müller, director at Steelpaint, said the partnership aligns with the company’s expansion strategy. “ADD Marine understands how shipowners and managers approach their ship repair and newbuild work,” Müller said. “Its experience in supporting day-to-day operational decisions and long-term maintenance planning will help provide guidance on where our Stelpant and Stelcatec systems can be applied to reduce steel loss and support environmental and cost efficiencies.”
Under the agreement, ADD Marine will introduce the full Steelpaint portfolio, including the Stelpant coatings and the Stelcatec line. The Stelpant range includes a PU-zinc primer designed for application on damp steel, at temperatures down to -10 °C and in relative humidity up to 98%, enabling continued work during variable weather conditions.
The Stelcatec technology offers a low-VOC option intended for crew maintenance on board while maintaining application, curing and performance characteristics for long-term steel protection.
Andreas Angelidis, co-founder of ADD Marine, said the partnership reflects the needs of shipowners operating large and diverse fleets. Dimitris Koliaroudakis, founder of ADD Marine, added that the company values the opportunity to represent Steelpaint in the region.
The appointment is effective immediately, with ADD Marine serving as the regional contact for product discussions, planning support and coordination with shipyards and maintenance teams in Greece and Cyprus.
This appointment highlights continued activity in Industrial Coatings used to support corrosion protection and maintenance planning in marine environments.
