Meraxis Group announced that Christophe Cario has been appointed managing director of Fournier Polymers, effective January 1, 2026. Fournier Polymers has been part of the Meraxis Group since 2023.

Cario brings more than 20 years of experience in international polymer and chemical distribution. Most recently, he served as managing director France & North Africa at the Biesterfeld Group, overseeing operations across European and North African markets. Prior to that, he held senior management roles at A. Schulman, now part of LyondellBasell, including EMEA head of sales and marketing specialty powders and technical polymers distribution manager EMEA.

“Christophe brings exactly the right mix of market understanding, strategic vision, and technical expertise that we need for the next step for Fournier Polymers,” said Dr. Stefan Girschik, CEO of Meraxis Group. “With his experience in developing customer-oriented offerings and building international markets, we will further sharpen Fournier Polymers' profile as part of Meraxis. Cario succeeds Emmanuel Tarret, chief operating officer of Meraxis Group, who previously fulfilled the managing director role in addition to his other responsibilities. In his new role, Cario will report directly to Tarret.
