RPM Announces Acquisition of Kalzip

RPM International Inc. announced that its Tremco Construction Products Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Kalzip GmbH, a Germany-based designer and producer of metal roofing and facade systems for building envelopes.
Headquartered in Koblenz, Germany, Kalzip specializes in lightweight aluminum roofing and facade technologies used in high-specification construction projects. The company generated approximately €75 million in net sales in calendar year 2024 and has delivered more than 1.2 billion square feet of aluminum systems worldwide. The acquisition expands Tremco CPG’s presence in Europe and India and creates opportunities to introduce Kalzip’s systems to North American customers.
RPM said the transaction strengthens Tremco CPG’s integrated building envelope portfolio, which includes roofing restoration and maintenance systems, EIFS, panel systems, sealants and waterproofing solutions. The company expects Kalzip’s existing management team, led by Andrew Leach, to remain with the business following the transaction.
“This acquisition aligns with our strategy to build leadership positions in selling systems to high-growth, high-specification construction markets,” said Frank C. Sullivan, chairman and chief executive officer of RPM. “Kalzip provides Tremco CPG with a world-class platform in the attractive aluminum building envelope sector that enhances building efficiency and durability.”
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
This deal reflects continued Acquisitions activity adjacent to the paint and coatings industry.
