Jotun Abu Dhabi has signed a 50-year land lease agreement with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group to establish a new manufacturing facility in ICAD – KEZAD Musaffah.
The company plans to invest AED 450 million in the 83,177 sq m facility, which will manufacture, sell and distribute paint and coatings products across the region. The project includes relocation from Jotun Abu Dhabi’s existing 22,000 sq m site and is expected to create approximately 200 jobs.
According to KEZAD Group, the new facility supports continued industrial development within Abu Dhabi’s manufacturing sector, with a focus on construction-related industries. The project is part of broader efforts to expand local manufacturing capacity and support non-oil economic growth.
“The expansion marks a major milestone in the manufacturing journey of Jotun Paints in Abu Dhabi and reinforces our commitment to strengthening our presence in the emirate,” said Svein Johan Stub, General Manager of Jotun Abu Dhabi. “We remain confident that being part of KEZAD’s industrial ecosystem will enable us to deliver tailored solutions that meet market demands and support the growth of the region’s construction, real estate and energy industries.”
The UAE paint and coatings sector continues to see investment activity driven by construction and infrastructure development, with manufacturers expanding regional production capabilities to meet demand.
