PPG Named Among Foundry’s Computerworld Best Places to Work for Eighth Year

PPG announced it was named among the “Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT) in 2026” by Foundry’s Computerworld. This is the company’s eighth appearance on the list, which celebrates companies that provide their IT workforce with meaningful engagement opportunities, stimulating challenges and comprehensive benefits and compensation.
“We are proud to be recognized again for our excellence in digital IT,” said Bhaskar Ramachandran, PPG vice president and chief information officer. “This award is a testament to our focus on developing our workforce and harnessing the potential of AI and cloud technologies. Our global talent initiatives, strong connection between business strategy and digital IT efforts and commitment to modernization and digitization are essential to driving our collective progress.”
PPG ranked No. 38 among large organizations on the 2026 list. Rankings are based on a questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development and training, workplace culture, workplace modernization, IT growth and employee engagement and retention. The rankings are also reviewed and vetted by a panel of industry experts.
“PPG’s focus on digital IT people development offers team members around the world opportunities such as participation in special projects aimed at building expertise in AI and cloud technologies,” said Ramachandran. “Additionally, we encourage our professionals to take on stretch roles, gain experience outside their primary responsibilities and engage in mentorship initiatives across the business.”
“It's clear that AI is having a disruptive impact on IT operations and IT talent,” said Barbara Call, global director of content strategy at Foundry. “This year’s honorees demonstrate how organizations are proactively evolving their talent strategies to fill much-needed skills gaps and reskill existing staff to be more resilient and responsive to changing needs.”
This recognition reflects continued investment in digital transformation and workforce development across the coatings industry.
