LANXESS announced global price increases for two chemical intermediates used in polymer and coatings formulations.
The specialty chemicals company said prices for 1,6-hexanediol and trimethylolpropane will increase by an average of about 20%. The adjustments take effect immediately and apply worldwide.
LANXESS said the increases reflect ongoing cost pressures including higher energy prices and rising raw material costs.
The company said the adjustments were implemented after efforts to mitigate cost increases while maintaining stable pricing.
LANXESS said the price changes are necessary to ensure long-term supply reliability.
LANXESS develops and manufactures chemical intermediates, additives and consumer protection products for a range of industrial markets including paint and coatings.
