Board Transition Announced at Hempel A/S

Hempel A/S announced that Astrid Simonsen Joos, group CEO of Glamox AS, has been nominated as a member of its Board of Directors.
The nomination will be put forward for election at Hempel’s Annual General Meeting on March 20, 2026. If elected, Joos will replace Britt Meelby Jensen, who is stepping down due to new commitments.
Joos brings leadership experience from global industrial and technology-driven companies, including roles at Microsoft and Signify. Her background includes expertise in IT, digital innovation and industrial business strategy.
“We are very pleased that Astrid Simonsen Joos has accepted the nomination for the Hempel A/S Board of Directors,” said Richard Sand, chair of the board. “Astrid brings substantial international leadership experience and a strong track record within digital transformation and industrial sectors.”
Britt Meelby Jensen has served on Hempel’s board since 2024 and previously held roles with the Hempel Foundation and Hempel Invest A/S. The company said it appreciates her contributions during her tenure.
Hempel’s board consists of 10 members. Subject to election, Joos is expected to participate in her first board meeting on April 23, 2026.
