IMCD opened a new technical center in Ataşehir, Istanbul, consolidating its food and nutrition, beauty and personal care, and coatings and construction laboratories into one facility while adding a new pharmaceuticals laboratory for the first time. 

According to the company, the center will support formulation development, product optimization, technical consultancy and hands-on innovation support for customers. The site becomes part of IMCD’s global network of more than 80 technical centers and laboratories. 

The coatings and construction laboratory will provide technical and formulation support for decorative, industrial and protective paints, along with wood and floor coatings, ceramic adhesives and insulation systems. IMCD said the facility will support formulation development, performance testing and application verification under end-use conditions. 

Aylin Zakuto, managing director of IMCD Türkiye, said the center is intended to serve as a regional chemical technology hub supporting product selection, formulation development, technical training and seminars.
