Entries were required to include a design concept, presentation board, floor plan, elevation or perspective and a 3D materials board created through MattoBoard’s virtual sampling platform.

A panel of judges evaluated submissions based on the originality and style of the design plan, creative use of Behr paint colors and use of MattoBoard. Behr offered a $5,000 grand prize, a $1,000 award for the winner’s school, a $2,000 first prize and a $1,000 second prize.
