Gemini Adds Packaging Automation at El Reno Plant
Gemini Industries Inc. added a fully automated packaging line at its main production facility in El Reno, Oklahoma.
The upgrade focuses on filling and end-of-line operations, where coatings are packaged into containers and prepared for shipment. The company said the investment expands its existing automation capabilities in case erecting and robotic pallet packaging.
The line includes a Combi Case Erector 2-EZ HS for forming and bottom-sealing boxes, an additional FANUC robot for case packing and palletizing, and an upgraded inkjet system that prints product and lot numbers directly onto boxes.
Gemini also installed a Cognex vision sensor array to verify bail-handle presence and labeling accuracy before products leave the facility.
