Cerakote®, the thin-film ceramic coating brand from NIC Industries, was selected as a semifinalist in the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Oregon competition.
The annual bracket-style competition, presented by Oregon Business & Industry and Here is Oregon, highlights products manufactured across the state. Cerakote was the only company from Southern Oregon represented in the competition’s semifinal round, according to NIC Industries.
“Cerakote started as a bold idea in Southern Oregon and has grown into a global brand,” said David Meador, director of strategic engagement at NIC Industries. “To be recognized among Oregon’s most innovative manufacturers is an honor not just for our company, but for our employees and this community.”
NIC Industries manufactures Cerakote coatings in White City, Oregon. The company’s coatings serve a range of markets, including aerospace, defense, consumer goods, automotive and energy.
NIC Industries was also scheduled to receive an Oregon Visionary Award during the Vision Oregon event in Portland.
