Cardinal Paint and Powder Advances Decatur Growth Plan
Cardinal Paint and Powder announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Eagles Landing Business Park in Decatur, Texas.
The new building will include warehouse space and two-story executive offices. Moving corporate functions from Cardinal’s existing Decatur site will allow the company’s 62,180-square-foot plant to focus more fully on manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Cardinal expects the project to increase production capacity by 33% and raise staffing beyond 100 full-time employees. The company opened its Decatur manufacturing facility in 2021.
“Relocating our headquarters to Decatur is a major milestone for Cardinal Paint,” said Steve Silverstein, chairman of Cardinal Paint and Powder. “We’re proud of the team we’ve built here, many of whom are local, and we see Decatur not just as a home base for our business, but as a long-term partner in our future growth.”
The Decatur Economic Development Corp. will support the project through a capital-investment reimbursement agreement spread across four years, capped at $280,000.
