R.E. Carroll Reaches Chemical Distribution Milestone
R.E. Carroll Inc. has successfully completed the Alliance for Chemical Distribution’s Responsible Distribution verification.
The program establishes standards for environmental, health, safety, security and sustainability performance throughout chemical storage, handling, transportation and disposal. Participating facilities are evaluated against principles that include regulatory compliance, continuous improvement and responsible engagement with communities and other stakeholders.
“Through their successful verification, R.E. Carroll Inc. has committed to the continuous improvement of the chemical distribution industry’s responsible management and handling of chemicals,” said ACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer.
According to ACD, participation in the program is intended to help chemical distributors reduce safety and environmental incidents, strengthen communication with local communities and advance responsible business practices.
