RPM International Inc. named David C. Dennsteadt president and chief operating officer, effective July 17. The company also appointed Andrew G. Polanco vice president of operations and Anthony R. Nicholson vice president of financial planning and analysis.
Dennsteadt joined RPM’s Stonhard business as an engineer in 1995 and held several leadership positions before serving as group president of the company’s Performance Coatings Group from 2018 to 2025. He became RPM executive vice president in 2025, overseeing corporate administrative functions.
As president and COO, Dennsteadt will assume responsibility for company strategy, oversight of RPM’s operating groups and corporate development activities.
“Dave has consistently demonstrated the leadership and strategic vision that RPM needs as we continue to grow,” RPM Chairman and CEO Frank C. Sullivan said.
Polanco succeeds Timothy R. Kinser as vice president of operations. He has served as RPM vice president of manufacturing since November 2022, leading manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives involving efficiency, asset optimization and working capital. Polanco joined RPM through its DAP business in 2016 after holding operations roles at Masco Corp. and Black & Decker.
Nicholson joined RPM in 2021 as director of financial planning and corporate development following 15 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was promoted to senior director of financial planning in 2023 and will continue leading RPM’s financial planning and analysis function.
