Polymer Antioxidant Receives RSPO Mass-Balance Certification

SONGWON Industrial Co., Ltd. received a Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Certificate, Mass Balance grade, for SONGNOX® 1076 phenolic antioxidant. Issued in January 2026, the authorization allows the company to offer an RSPO-certified product option, with a market launch planned for the second half of the year. SONGWON said it sees potential to expand its portfolio with additional RSPO-compliant products.
The company said SONGNOX 1076 has one of the lowest carbon footprints in its class. It said the certified option is intended to support responsible sourcing and help customers address future regulatory requirements, including EU deforestation regulations. RSPO develops standards for the growth and use of sustainable palm oil.
The certification provides a documented sourcing attribute for a polymer stabilizer, connecting the announcement to PCI’s broader coverage of raw-material traceability and sustainability requirements.
