SIE Industrial opened a new head office and assembly plant in Sunderland, England, for its industrial blasting, coating, extraction and vacuum equipment operations. The 11,374-square-foot facility at Sunrise Enterprise Park represents a six-figure investment and is nearly twice the size of its previous headquarters.
The company said the expansion will increase production capacity and create more than a dozen jobs in mechanical and electrical fitting, administration, sales, finance, stores and logistics. Its Sunderland team also provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting services.
Founded in 1982, the family-owned manufacturer supplies equipment for applications including naval vessels, railway stations, airports and major infrastructure. The opening follows the establishment of a base in the United Arab Emirates and the appointment of Gary Taylor as strategic relationship director.
The new plant increases assembly capacity for abrasive-blasting, dust-extraction and vacuum-recovery equipment, connecting the expansion to PCI’s coverage of surface preparation and industrial finishing operations.
