Benjamin Moore Marks 50 Years of Historical Color Collection

Benjamin Moore is marking the 50th anniversary of its Historical Color Collection, a palette of 191 colors inspired by 18th- and 19th-century North American architecture.
Introduced during the 1976 American Bicentennial, the collection includes neutrals, midtones and deeper shades intended for traditional and contemporary interiors. Benjamin Moore highlighted Hale Navy HC-154, Revere Pewter HC-172, Kendall Charcoal HC-166 and Essex Green HC-188 among the collection’s most popular colors.
The Historical Color Collection is available through Benjamin Moore retailers in Regal Select, Aura, Eco Spec, Advance and Aura Bath & Spa products. The company said the palette is used in applications ranging from heritage restoration to contemporary residential design.
The color collection connects historically sourced colors with current premium paint products for applications ranging from heritage restoration to contemporary interiors.
