Industrial Physics Adds Vitrek to Test and Measurement Portfolio

Industrial Physics has acquired U.S.-based test and measurement equipment provider Vitrek from the Branford Castle Fund, LP, the companies announced Aug. 26. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The transaction adds the Vitrek, MTI and GaGe brands to Industrial Physics' portfolio. Vitrek develops electrical safety testing equipment, power analyzers, engine vibration balancing systems, high-speed data acquisition technologies and precision measurement instruments for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical-device and other industrial applications. The transaction closed upon signing, according to Industrial Physics.
Industrial Physics is a global packaging, materials and coatings test and measurement company backed by KKR-affiliated investment funds. Its coatings portfolio includes TQC Sheen, which supplies equipment for paint, coatings and surface-treatment testing, including instruments and materials used for coating inspection and performance evaluation.
Industrial Physics said Vitrek extends the group's reach into industries where precision, compliance and safety testing are important while complementing its existing packaging, materials and coatings testing businesses.
Vitrek's portfolio supports product development, qualification, production and maintenance applications, including high-voltage measurement, signal conditioning, semiconductor metrology and high-speed data acquisition.
The acquisition expands the capabilities of a supplier already active in paint and coating equipment and laboratory testing. The combination broadens Industrial Physics' instrumentation portfolio beyond traditional coatings-performance testing into additional precision measurement technologies used across advanced manufacturing.
