Oxea Raises North American Prices 10% on Four Products

Oxea will increase North American prices by 10% for four products used across coatings and other industrial markets.
The increase applies to 2-ethylhexanoic acid, isononanoic acid, Oxsoft 3G8 and Oxfilm 351. It takes effect Sept. 1, 2026, or as contracts allow.
Oxea classifies 2-ethylhexanoic acid and isononanoic acid as carboxylic acids and lists Oxsoft 3G8 and Oxfilm 351 within its specialty-esters portfolio. The company identifies specialty esters as materials that can function as plasticizers, compatibilizers, solvents, friction modifiers and coalescing agents in applications including coatings and printing inks.
The company attributed the price action to a July 23 U.S. trade measure that it said imposed additional duty rates on imports from 60 economies, including the European Union. Oxea did not disclose current product prices or corresponding unit increases beyond the 10% adjustment.
Oxea produces oxo intermediates and performance chemicals, including alcohols, polyols, carboxylic acids, specialty esters and amines. The materials serve coatings, lubricants, printing inks, plastics and other markets.
The price action is relevant to coatings manufacturers following paint and coatings additives and raw-material cost changes affecting formulation economics.
