Sika has completed its acquisition of Akkim, a Turkey-based manufacturer of adhesives and sealants for construction applications.
Akkim generated approximately CHF 220 million in 2025 sales. The company serves customers through an established distribution network focused on Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
The acquired portfolio includes adhesives and sealants based on proprietary formulations developed by Akkim’s research and development team. Sika said the complementary product lines and regional distribution networks are expected to create additional growth opportunities.
Sika also expects the acquisition to expand production capacity and help establish a manufacturing and export hub for adhesives and sealants serving regional construction markets.
The transaction has now closed. Sika did not disclose the purchase price in its completion announcement.
Sika develops systems and products for bonding, sealing, reinforcing and protecting materials in construction and industrial applications.
The completed acquisition is relevant to PCI readers following consolidation and capacity growth in adhesives and sealants.
