PPG Renovates Inclusive Kindergarten in Poland
PPG completed a Colorful Communities® project at Integration Kindergarten No. 2 in Cieszyn, Poland, a facility serving children with a range of educational and developmental needs.
More than 50 volunteers from PPG and the local community participated alongside representatives from the City of Cieszyn and the kindergarten. PPG provided a $70,000 grant, equivalent to approximately 260,000 Polish zloty, and donated more than 88 gallons, or 330 liters, of Tikkurila, Beckers and Dekoral paints.
Products included Beckers Designer Kitchen & Bathroom premium matte interior paint, which is formulated for durability and scrub resistance in frequently used spaces.
Volunteers and project partners renovated and furnished four classrooms and communal areas. They also restored wood parquet floors, furniture and doors and created nature-inspired murals based on the themes of the school’s classrooms.
The kindergarten said the resulting visual design was intended to create a calm, harmonious and engaging environment that supports children’s well-being, curiosity and exploration.
Integration Kindergarten No. 2 serves 80 children, including students with diverse educational and developmental needs. The facility provides an inclusive setting intended to support early childhood development.
The project was completed through a partnership involving PPG, the City of Cieszyn and local community organizations.
Since 2015, PPG said its Colorful Communities program has completed more than 635 projects affecting more than 10.3 million people in over 50 countries. PPG and the PPG Foundation invested $18.1 million in community programs during 2025.
The project shows how durable architectural coatings, color planning and surface restoration can contribute to high-use educational environments.
