Over the past several months, company founder Christian Buske has gradually transferred full operational responsibility to his sons. Plasmatreat said the transition is intended to maintain continuity while supporting the company’s next stage of development.

The company has also introduced AURORA-Plasma, a low-pressure plasma technology that complements its Openair-Plasma and PlasmaPlus systems.

AURORA-Plasma operates within a controlled vacuum chamber and is designed for complex component geometries, porous materials and applications requiring uniform, full-surface treatment. A multi-frequency approach and the use of different process gases allow plasma properties to be adjusted to the material, component and intended surface function.

The expanded portfolio gives customers access to atmospheric-pressure plasma, functional nanocoatings and low-pressure plasma through one supplier. Plasmatreat said technology selection depends on component geometry, substrate characteristics, production speed, required surface performance and quality-control needs.

The company also provides feasibility studies, process development, application validation and assistance integrating stable production processes. Custom OEM systems are available for machine builders and integrators developing new equipment or adding plasma treatment to existing production lines.

Plasmatreat Innovation Days will be held Sept. 23–24 at the company’s Birkenfeld sales office near Stuttgart. The program will focus on the future of industrial surface treatment and applications in medical technology, electronics and sustainable production.

The broader plasma portfolio gives coatings and finishing operations additional surface preparation options for difficult substrates, complex parts and tightly controlled production processes.
