Oxea Announces Two Global Price Actions for Acids, Esters and Oxo Intermediates

A second notice covers six oxo intermediates beginning Oct. 1 or as contracts allow.
Adjustments vary by product and region, reaching as high as $0.08 per pound in North America and $300 per metric ton elsewhere.

Oxea has announced two sets of price increases covering carboxylic acids, specialty esters and oxo intermediates.

The first action, announced Sept. 15, is effective immediately or as contracts allow. Oxea attributed the increases to sustained raw-material, energy and supply-chain cost increases combined with continued supply-and-demand volatility.
