Erica McLaughlin has become president and CEO of Cabot Corp. and joined the company’s board of directors, completing a leadership transition announced earlier this year.
McLaughlin succeeds Sean Keohane, whose retirement as president and CEO became effective Sept. 30. Keohane is expected to remain with Cabot in an advisory capacity through the end of 2026.
McLaughlin joined Cabot in 2002 and most recently served as executive vice president, CFO and head of corporate strategy. Her previous roles have included responsibilities across finance, investor relations, business operations and corporate strategy.
Steve Delahunt, previously vice president and corporate treasurer, became interim CFO Oct. 1 while Cabot continues its search for a permanent successor.
Cabot supplies specialty carbons and fumed silica used across architectural, automotive, coil, conductive, marine, wood and other coatings applications.
The transition puts a new CEO in place at a major supplier of carbon black, fumed silica and other additives used for color, rheology, conductivity and performance in coatings.
