Biesterfeld Expands Eastman Coatings Distribution in Southern Africa
Biesterfeld has expanded its distribution partnership with Eastman in Southern Africa through Aerontec, adding a range of coatings and inks materials across South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Namibia, Malawi and Botswana.
The portfolio includes Eastman products such as Texanol, Advantex, Solus, Tetrashield and Optifilm, along with cellulose acetate butyrate, chlorinated polyolefins and specialty solvents.
The companies said the expanded relationship combines Eastman's product portfolio with Biesterfeld and Aerontec's regional market and technical capabilities.
Distributor appointments determine how formulators access specialty resins, additives and solvents, particularly in markets where local inventory and technical support can materially affect adoption.
