The Fenix Group Appoints Brian Turner Chief Technology Officer
The Fenix Group Specialty Performance Coatings has named Brian Turner chief technology officer, responsible for integrating research and development activities across the company's four U.S. manufacturing locations.
Turner will oversee efforts to improve product development, technical consistency and innovation across the company's industrial and concrete coatings businesses.
The company said the appointment supports its strategy of coordinating technical capabilities across its portfolio of specialty coatings brands.
Turner brings nearly 30 years of experience in coatings and construction materials, with a background in innovation management, collaborative leadership and product development.
He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University and is Six Sigma certified.
The Fenix Group manufactures specialty industrial and concrete coatings for mid-market original equipment manufacturers and contractors.
Its portfolio includes Burke, Concrete Coatings, National Coatings, Sierra, SureCrete, TCI Coatings and TK Products.
The company operates manufacturing facilities in Minnetonka, Minnesota; Galesburg, Illinois; Dade City, Florida; and Lubbock, Texas.
Fenix has been recognized in PCI's ranking of leading North American paint and coatings manufacturers.
Coordinating R&D across multiple manufacturing facilities can support product consistency, formulation development and technical collaboration in industrial coatings.
