Remmers Acquires Rustins, Adds Four UK Brands

Remmers Group has completed its acquisition of the Rustins group, expanding its UK business into additional product categories and sales channels.
The transaction includes all shares in Rustins Holdings Ltd. and its operating business, Rustins Ltd. Cavendish, which advised the Rustins shareholders, also confirmed the completed sale.
Founded in London in 1924, Rustins supplies wood finishes, specialty paints and cleaning products. Its brands include Rustins, Briwax, Brummer and Lord Sheraton, serving DIY users, professional tradespeople and households through physical and online retail channels.
Remmers’ existing UK business has focused on industrial flooring systems and coatings for industrial wood processing, primarily serving professional customers directly. The company said Rustins adds complementary products and distribution rather than duplicating those activities.
The acquisition gives Remmers access to Rustins’ established retail relationships and consumer-facing brands while retaining the broader group’s presence in technically demanding professional applications.
The parties did not disclose financial terms.
The acquisition links a professional coatings supplier with an established retail wood-finishes portfolio. Follow PCI’s architectural coatings coverage for related company and product developments.
