JIT Industries Acquires Alabama Hard Chrome Plating Facility
JIT Industries has acquired Precision Plating in Birmingham, Alabama, adding industrial hard chrome plating and surface restoration to its manufacturing and repair capabilities.
Precision Plating provides hard chrome plating, machining, grinding, roll repair and related services. Its equipment can handle components measuring up to 23 feet long and up to 28 inches in outside diameter.
The operation has served the Birmingham region for more than 40 years. Operations Manager Charlie Butler will continue leading the facility.
JIT said the acquisition expands its hard chrome plating capabilities while allowing Precision Plating customers to access additional hydraulic and fluid-power services through the broader company.
Precision Plating becomes one of seven JIT Industries locations across four states.
Hard chrome plating remains an important industrial surface-treatment process for wear, restoration and component performance.
