TORONTO — Dominion Colour Corp. has acquired Compania Venezolana De Pigmentos (Cavenpi) of Valencia, Venezuela, a producer of azo organic pigments and lead chromates sold in South America. The acquired business will be developed as a supply center for azo organic pigments and lead chromates for South American markets. The business also will supplement Dominion’s distribution network worldwide and increase supply capabilities for new customers in Europe, the company said.
Dominion also said it planned to make a “substantial” capital investment at the Venezuelan site to increase production capacity and product range. The company said it had appointed Jeff Cox president of Cavenpi.
