MOUNT OLIVE, NJ - BASF has acquired the Vistanex LM polyisobutylene business of ExxonMobil Chemical Co., a purchase that BASF said expands its polyisobutylene product line. The products are used in a variety of applications, including adhesives, sealants and coatings. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

BASF markets polyisobutylene products under the OPPANOL brand name.
