CLEVELAND - Lubrizol Corp. has acquired Dock Resins Corp. from Landec Corp. for approximately $14 million. Dock Resins is a supplier of proprietary polymers including acrylic, methacrylic, alkyd, and polyester resins used in the coatings, ink, laminating, adhesives and sealants, and grease markets. The company, based in Linden, NJ, has annual sales of approximately $13 million.

Lubrizol said the acquisition expands its product offerings for paint, coatings and ink with the addition of specialty resins technologies. The purchase "will help us move forward to achieve our goal of becoming a premier, global supplier of specialty products and services to the coatings and inks market," said Don Bogus, Lubrizol vice president, Fluid Technologies for Industry.
