ICI Paints, Cleveland, said the Glidden.com website of the Glidden paint brand was named the best consumer-goods website in this year's WebAwards competition sponsored by the Web Marketing Association. WebAwards is an annual competition that judges corporate websites against an Internet standard and against equivalent sites within an industry. The Glidden site earned 67.5 points out of a possible 70 points, ICI Paints said. Entries are judged on seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, navigation, and ease of use. ICI Paints said a popular element of the Glidden site is an interactive project planner that allows the user to save favorite colors, ideas and articles to plan painting projects. The feature also includes general project information, such as quantity of paint needed to complete a project.
