WILMINGTON, DE -- DuPont Automotive announced that Marty McQuade, vice president -- DuPont Herberts Automotive Systems, was named global vice president and general manager in charge of worldwide business operations for automotive OEM coatings.

McQuade succeeds John R. Lewis, who was named vice president -- Asia Growth Initiatives for DuPont Performance Coatings.

Douglas L. Moore, director -- Refinish Systems -- Americas, will become vice president and general manager -- DuPont Advanced Coatings Systems, and will relocate to Wuppertal, Germany.

Stephen L. Cox, business director for DuPont Powder Coatings, has been named vice president -- Americas, DuPont Herberts Automotive Systems. He assumes responsibility for DuPont’s automotive OEM coatings business in North and South America.

Lewis has spent his entire 38-year DuPont career in the automotive-finishes and polymers businesses. McQuade has more than 26 years of experience in the automotive-coatings industry, in manufacturing, research and financial positions. He was managing director for DuPont Automotive Coatings -- Europe in Bonn, Germany, from 1995 to 1999 before assuming the Americas leadership position in April 1999.

Cox joined DuPont in 1999, when the company acquired Herberts, the former coatings unit of Hoechst AG. He has held various business and business-development leadership positions in Europe and the United States, and led the Herberts Standox brand in the Americas for automotive refinishes from 1989 to 1996. Cox was named to head DuPont Powder Coatings in 2000.

Moore joined DuPont in 1969 in a marketing position and has held several positions in the DuPont coatings businesses.
