LONDON - Elementis plc announced an agreement to acquire Sasol Servo, a supplier of coatings additives, from Sasol Ltd. for approximately 48.5 million euros in cash. The company said it plans to integrate the Servo business into its Elementis Specialties business.

Sasol Servo, based in Delden, The Netherlands, was acquired by Sasol Ltd. as part of its 2001 acquisition of RWE-DEA's chemicals business. The business manufactures a variety of coatings additives, including dispersing agents, thickeners, antifoams, driers, and antiskinning agents. The company's brand names include NUODEX, NUOSPERSE and EXKIN. Servo also is a manufacturer of specialty surfactants and other chemicals.
