PPG Industries announced several management appointments, including the naming of Dick Beuke as vice president, Architectural Coatings.

PITTSBURGH — PPG Industries Inc. announced several management appointments, including the naming of Dick Beuke as vice president, Architectural Coatings. Beuke was formerly general manager, Silicas, and joined PPG in 1976 in an industrial-coatings sales position. He has held a series of sales and marketing posts in the company’s coatings businesses, including marketing director, Automotive Parts and Accessories, OEM Coatings.

The company also named Michael Sack manager of Marketing Services, a new position in the company’s Automotive Coatings business. Sack joined the company in 1978 as assistant automotive-refinish advertising manager. He has held various advertising and marketing assignments in the automotive-refinish and automotive-coatings business, and most recently was director of sports marketing.

Other appointments include the following.

• Kathleen McGuire, general manager, Fine Chemicals, was elected vice president, Silicas;
• Michael McGarry, product manager, Caustic Soda and PELS, was named general manager, Fine Chemicals;
• Rick Elias, general manager, Optical Products, was elected vice president, Optical Products;
• Bud Wise, director, Organization Development and Compensation, was elected vice president, Human Resources; and
• Jeff Gilbert, director, Acquisitions and International Human Resources, was elected vice president, Government Affairs.
