FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Troy Corp. has announced that the European Parliament has included IPBC as an active substance in Annex 1. As part of its continued investment, Troy Corp. led the effort of a group of companies to supply a complete dossier to European Union (EU) authorities to fulfill the requirements of the Biocidal Products Directive (BPD). This dossier contained more than 20 binders full of toxicology, environmental, risk assessment, efficacy data, and technical and safety information for one of the world’s key biocidal actives.

“Annex I listing, together with EPA’s earlier decision to re-register IPBC, ensures that this important material will be available for years to come,” according to Don Shaw, Vice President, Development, Troy Corp.

Polyphase is one product in a line of highly active, broad-spectrum antimicrobials offered by Troy. Troy’s biocides are incorporated as antimicrobials into interior and exterior coatings, wood preservatives, caulk and sealants, metalworking fluids, and many allied markets.
