PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Society for Coatings Technology Inc. will hold its May symposium, “Green Solutions with UV Coatings,” Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at The Williamson, in Horsham, PA.
 
The symposium will include a variety of presentations. Ronald Golden, FocalPoint Consulting, will speak on “Sustainability Benefits of UV/EB Curing.” Alexander Polykarpov of Cognis will speak on “Renewable Chemicals for UV/EB Cure.” Michael Dvorchak of Bayer MaterialScience will speak on “UV Curable PUDs: The Ultimate Green Solution.” Mary Kate Boggiano of Armstrong World Industries will speak on “Green Solutions with UV Coatings in the Flooring Industry.” Thomas Laginess of BASF will speak on “UV-Curable Refinish Primer with Eco-Efficiency Advantages.” Michael Beck of Phoseon Technology will speak on “Advances in UV LED Technology for Curing Applications.” James Goodrich of Sartomer will speak on “The Green Aspects of UV/EB Chemistry; and Scott Murray of Elementis Specialties will speak on “Performance Additives for Sustainable Energy Curable Coatings.”
