The plant reinforces BASF's commitment to long-term growth in the amino resins markets in China and the Asia Pacific region.

BASF's amino resins are marketed under the trademark Luwipal®. Applications are in baking finishes, acid-curable paints and physically drying paints. They are mainly used in combination with various binders to produce particularly hard, glossy coatings that are stable to weathering, yellowing and chemicals. Luwipal 066 is mainly used in coil and can coatings, and Luwipal 072 is mostly targeted for automotive applications.
