Company's Polyurethanes Business in North America has commercially launched Lupranate 5143 isocyanate, a carbodiimide-modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI)-based raw material. The isocyanate features improvements in low-temperature stability, clarity and shelf life compared to similar polyurethane raw materials used in coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) applications. Manufacturing improvements have helped Lupranate 5143 isocyanate reach a lower freeze point than some traditional carbodiimide-modified isocyanates based on 4,4-MDI. Visit www.basf.com/usa.
