Dexter has named David G. Gordon president and chief operating officer.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Dexter Corp. has named David G. Gordon president and chief operating officer. Gordon joined the company in 1975 and was most recently a corporate vice president and president of Dexter’s Nonwoven Materials unit, the company’s largest business.

Gordon also has been president of D&S Plastics International, a former automotive joint venture of Dexter and Solvay S.A. He has held several other management positions in the United States and Europe.

Dexter also said it plans to sell its Printed Wiring Board materials business and carry out a restructuring program in several other business units. The company is a supplier of a range of specialty products, including coatings for aerospace and automotive applications.
