Super Pressurex® is a tactile force indicating sensor film. This sensor is useful in assessing compression magnitude and distribution between any two mating or impacting surfaces with much greater resolution than standard indicating films. Applications exist for both manufacturing process control and machine/component inspection and calibration. The film comes in the form of a large thin sheet, actually a film. When placed between interfacial surfaces, the sensor film instantaneously and permanently changes color to reveal minute measurements of dispersion and degrees of pressure. The color intensity is proportional to the amount of force applied, allowing users to actually quantify the stress characteristics across the surface.
