A Lamart Corporation spokesman recently announced that 2006 marks the first 50 years that the Clifton, N.J.-based company has been in the coating and laminating business.

"Our company has had a proud history since our inception in July 1956 with our initial venture launched for the purpose of laminating thin films to other films and fabrics. While the original markets served were fashion related, over the years we added many other industrial products."

"Today," the spokesman added, "we produce pressure-sensitive tapes for industrial/electronic and aerospace applications; laminates for sailcloth; aerospace thermal acoustic insulation; pressure-sensitive adhesive-coated films, foils and laminates for product identification; transfer adhesives; double-coated films; and other specialty adhesive-coated products for aerospace, automotive, health care and electronic applications."
